Blue 9mm bullets12/28/2023 ![]() Yep, this can get people's head all twisted up - especially new loaders who have a penchant for perfection. One of the things that does concern me is the inconsistency of min and max loads according to the manufacturers. Don't try to load plinkers - it doesn't do that well at all. If you're using Blue Dot powder, make a good Blue Dot round. In the mean time, until you get some other powders, and you're going to load with Blue Dot, if I may suggest: If your going to load with Blue Dot, don't try to make it something it's not. Load them somewhere in the 4.0g neighborhood, and they'll be pushing 1000 fps. I've never used 700X, but you know, Bullseye can make some pretty decent 115g target rounds. Lead bullets are much better, and jacketed is showing signs of improvement. For instance, primers are almost a non-issue now. Things seem to be getting a little better.
